Strengthening Global Connections: NSTIC (GaN) Welcomes the Ambassador of Poland
Jun 04 2025

It’s not every day you get to exchange ideas with a global diplomat, so it was a true honour for NSTIC (GaN) to welcome His Excellency Tadeusz Chomicki, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Singapore, and his delegation for an official visit. The session was a meaningful opportunity to showcase Singapore’s growing semiconductor capabilities and to explore how deep-tech innovation can serve as a bridge between nations looking to shape the future together.
Sharing Singapore’s Semiconductor Capabilities
During the visit, the NSTIC (GaN) team shared an overview of its research and development work in Gallium Nitride (GaN) and RF/mmWave technologies—key areas powering next-generation communication systems, high-efficiency power devices, and emerging 6G infrastructure.
The delegation also toured NSTIC (GaN)’s facilities to see how Singapore’s national GaN platform supports every stage of innovation—from materials research and device prototyping to system-level integration.
Conversations highlighted how GaN technology is becoming a cornerstone of modern electronics, improving connectivity, lowering energy use, and driving the digital transformation of industries—an important step forward for Singapore’s growing semiconductor Singapore landscape.
A Thoughtful Exchange on Innovation and Collaboration
The visit provided space for open discussion on how advanced semiconductor research can contribute to economic growth, national security, and sustainability.
Ambassador Chomicki shared insights into Poland’s expanding focus on high-tech sectors and expressed interest in deepening international collaboration in areas such as electronics, photonics, and clean technologies. Both sides agreed that research institutions, industry players, and government agencies each have a key role to play in strengthening global innovation networks.
It was a constructive exchange that reflected a shared belief in collaboration as the foundation for deep-tech progress.

Building Bridges Through Deep-Tech Engagement
Visits like this one underscore how important global connections are in today’s rapidly evolving semiconductor industry. As technology advances and challenges grow more complex, cooperation across borders becomes essential to achieving meaningful, scalable impact.
NSTIC (GaN) was proud to share its mission, research capabilities, and vision for the future, while also learning about Poland’s goals in science, technology, and digital innovation.
As a national research centre, NSTIC (GaN) not only develops technology—it also helps build bridges between communities, industries, and nations working toward a common goal: advancing innovation for global benefit.
Looking Ahead: From Dialogue to Possibility
NSTIC (GaN) extends its warm appreciation to Ambassador Tadeusz Chomicki and his delegation for their visit and engaging discussions. Their interest in Singapore’s semiconductor ecosystem and enthusiasm for potential collaboration were deeply valued.
Looking ahead, NSTIC (GaN) hopes to explore areas of cooperation with Polish institutions, including academic exchanges, joint research, and collaborative innovation programmes that strengthen both countries’ positions in the global deep-tech arena.
Stay Connected
NSTIC (GaN) remains committed to advancing GaN and RF technologies that power the future of communication and high-performance systems.
Thank you once again to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Singapore for this meaningful exchange. We welcome partnerships that foster collaboration, research, and knowledge exchange within the semiconductor Singapore ecosystem and beyond.
